Since I live right by the beach, I like to take advantage of the fresh seafood available in Orange County! One of the great seafood restaurants happens to have an excellent happy hour as well- Wildfish in Newport Beach. Served from 4-7 p.m., Sunday-Saturday, Wildfish features $6 cocktails and glasses of wine, as well as an array of fresh dishes ranging from $5 to $8.

Calamari is always one of my staple appetizer go-to’s, and Wildfish takes it up a notch with their addition of Cashew flavors intertwined in the perfectly crispy pieces. Another favorite is their Tartare of Pacific Ahi. It’s fresh, light, flavorful, and a perfect addition to a glass of Chardonnay or a Cosmopolitan. If you’re not into seafood, not to worry- Wildfish offers a delicious, melt-in-your-mouth cheese happy hour dish, as well as a warm sliced bold-flavored beef dish.

Wildfish has an upbeat, lively atmosphere, and is always a crowd-pleaser! It’s a great place to bring out-of-town guests who want to enjoy California’s fresh seafood, or to bring a date for a pre-movie meal. Because it’s located a few miles off the beach, it is not usually difficult to grab a table- you won’t normally have longer than a few minute wait, if any, during happy hour.
